Associating tradition, art and technique, Agro Batoréu has crafted their Terra Silvestre wines from selected grapes grown in their 40 hectars of vineyards in Aveiras de Cima, a terroir composed of scattered pockets of limestone and clay soil. The quality of their wines comes from the rich and diversified heritage of traditional Portuguese grape varieties such as Arinto and Fernão Pires for their white wines and Castelão, Trincadeira, Aragonez and Touriga Franca for their reds.

 ABOUT TEJO

portugal6-1

Tejo takes its name from the Tagus river – Tejo in Portuguese. Located between the Lisboa and Alentejo, the region is dominated by the influence of the river. The Tagus moderates the region's climate, making it more temperate than other areas of Portugal. Vineyards are planted on the fertile alluvial plains along the river. Quality wines are on the rise here, and the area is becoming a mecca for young, innovative winemakers. The wines from this region generally offer excellent value for the money.
