Located in the province of Tarragona, “somdinou” means “we are 19” in the native Catalan language.  It gets it name as 19 families with very small plots of 75 y/o vines came together to make their own wines instead of selling their grapes to big producers.  The result is 2 lovely limited production wines that show off the best of their terroir.

about terra alta

Located in the western part of the Province of Tarragona in Catalonia, “Terra Alta”, meaning “high land” is named after the mountainous terrain the vineyards are located on. It is of great natural beauty and features in many of Picasso’s paintings. The climate is a mixture of Mediterranean and continental. The summers are long, hot and dry and the winters are very cold. A dry wind, known as el Cierzo from the Ebro River valley is influential in keeping humidity low and thus protecting the vines from disease.
